Christmas 1989: The Barbie Liberation Organization alters several hundred GI Joe and Barbie dolls, replacing them on store shelves for purchase. Swapping the voice boxes of the two dolls caused Barbie to shout, “Vengeance is mine!” while GI Joe cooed, “Let's go shopping.”
